So, what have you got to say for yourself? Post your comments, reminisces, or just say “hi” to someone you used to know!

Please enjoy the Bulletin Board -- have fun, take that walk down memory lane, get reacquainted and don't say anything about anybody you wouldn't want said about yourself (in public, anyway). Before you send anything, please review it to see whether it is respectful and responsible. The views on the Bulletin Board are those of the person who posted it and not the alumni of Edison or Edison High School as a whole, so we do not allow anonymous postings.

And remember, please, keep it clean!

Lori (Crane) Loen Thank you to the reunion committee, great job.

Hello to all from Oregon. Hi Rhonda! Bette, Danny Nunes called me a while back and was working in Big Bear. I’ll see if I can find him. It’s fun to read all the postings here and exchange email with old friends.

I am living in Lake Oswego, OR, just a few miles from Portland. I sell real estate, mostly new homes and love it. I have one son who is 24 and just a joy. Life is good and I’m looking forward to trying to remember all of you in July (if my plastic surgeon and weight trainer will allow me to travel after my extreme makeover, just kidding!)

Lori (Crane) Loen Hi you guys. I certainly can’t wait to see you all and do hope that everyone you all are talking about show up or at least connect via the message board. I do have to ask you guys to please remember that even us smokers have feelings and I hope that we can keep that in mind. Some of the postings have been a little less than kind and I hope those postings don’t keep the people who are discussed from attending the reunion. None of us is perfect but we can be caring! See you the 17th!

Lori Crane-Loen Holiday Greetings from Oregon! I’m so glad this board is still here even after the great reunion, thanks!

I have something of a serious subject to post, sorry, but I feel it’s really important. Most of us remember the dump across Magnolia from the school I’m sure, Ascon Landfill. Well a number of issues relating to the dump have surfaced through the years including a large number of people with cancer and related illnesses. There was a cancer survey done last summer in the housing tract across the street where my parents still live. (I still remember waking up some nights sick to my stomach from the smell!) My hope in posting this is to raise awareness in our class. The department of toxic substances control is conducting more testing this month, digging a few holes along Magnolia. In the past they have tested ground water runoff, soil, and air quality. Scary stuff. There is a web site with a “fact sheet” if you are interested Ascon Landfill Soil Studies

This dump has been in place for many, many years and was not monitored for a very long time. They have dumped soil that was removed from a chemical plant in Costa Mesa that had to be removed because it was toxic. You can’t tell me the ground water at the park and the school wasn’t affected by this mess. Anyway, I just want the folks doing these studies to know we are watching. I’m not suggesting any form of action or a lawsuit or anything like that. I just want the powers that be to know we are paying attention!

I have a lot of contact information if you want it, just e-mail me by clicking on the envelope next to this bulletin.

We could do what other sites do and make this as long and painful to read as possible, get a bunch of lawyers involved and find the most obscure English words possible, but why?

It all comes down to: the only ones who see all of your info are the committee members. And we’re only trying to get you to come party with us. We promise not to sell your home address, your email address, your name or likeness to ANYONE.

Now renting you out for nefarious purposes…. Well, we haven’t gotten any offers yet, but we’ll hold our options open for now. Check back later.
