Hello from Chicago. Congratulations to John Miller and the reunion committee! Wonderful web site. I'd love to be there but not sure if the travel plans will work out. Hey John Upp, how're you doing? Are you in contact with any of the old crew? Warm wishes and best of luck on the reunion to everyone.

John, Donna and Teddy, wonderful to hear from you. Didn't I see some of you at the 10th reunion (20 years is still a long time)? Last time I saw Brett was at the 10th along with Cathie Martinez-Bayless. Sounds like I really need to make the 30th, would love to see you guys again. Nice to get as many of the old crew together one more time. Donna, please tell Kim hello for me. Anyone seen Mark Maurel or Guy Leonard?

Madonna, Lebard Park, boy that brings back a boat load of memories! I suspect Mr. Upp will have a few too. I think there were a ton of brain cells put to rest there. If you remember, I lived right down the way on Ravenswood Lane in Meredith Gardens. My mom lived there up until about 4 years ago and I stopped by occasionally. It still looked the same, all those wonderful concrete tables and stools. I am sure many of you are like me, this bulletin board has sparked a great number of memories that seemed to be long gone. Keep em coming everyone!

Julie Hinkle Bodner, boy your post brought back some memories, the salsa on the chips at the beach, I was a big fan of the PB&J's out of the Geisler vending machines, we were regulars at Farrell's, the Shakey's Pizza Parlor at Brookhurst/Adams, hanging out at the 7-11 on Brookhurst trying to get someone to buy you beer, Joe the Rent-A-Cop, going out at lunch to the Taco Bell up on Beach Blvd and going to the speedway motorcycle races on Friday nights at the Costa Mesa Fairgrounds. Please keep these remembrances coming, they are certainly helping my memory get back into gear.

I can't tell you how excited I am that the date is fast approaching. My good bud Mr. Upp and I will likely be on opposite ends of the dress code spectrum as I have worn a suit for too many years to give it up now (oh for the more casual atmosphere of So Cal vs. Chicago). I want to thank all those folks that have sent me emails, I do very much look forward to reconnecting with all of you. I went to the 10th and that now is a total blur, hopefully I can take notes this time and put some effort into keeping in contact with my old friends. A special shout to John, the Bayless' (you're pissing me off my not coming Sat), Donna, Teddy, Kim and Tammy. Mary Stanford, Guy Leonard, Mark Maurel, John Ellis and Mike Petrie (sp?), where the heck are you guys?
All the best from the Windy City,
Bob

My apologies for not including Bette in my shout out. How could I forget a fellow Wells Fargo colleague!

Margaret,
I can't believe you don't remember that I was your date to Disneyland! I am now truly hurt (just kidding). I hope you do attend, it should be a great weekend. The 30th Reunion web site is an incredible gift to the Class of 1974, without it I doubt I would have been able to connect with so many of my long lost friends. Think about it, I'm about to party with friends I haven't seen in 20-30 years! The Reunion Committee has done a wonderful thing for a lot of people.
All my best

Karen Witte, where do you live in Illinois? I live just north of Chicago and am heading to O'Hare this afternoon for the flight to OC.

Wendy, you hit the nail on the head, I couldn't have expressed my feelings any better. This was a wonderful weekend for me too, having reconnected with friends that I haven't seen in 20-30 years. To the Reunion Committee, thank you so much for making this happen.

Johnny, I am alive and well and living large in the Midwest once again. I definitely felt a post-reunion let down as I was pretty excited leading up to the weekend. I must say that the entire weekend was way more fun and much more fulfilling than I ever expected. It's not that I had low standards, but it was a gas that is hard to put into words. I have been emailing Madonna making sure we all keep in touch going forward. I expect to be out to SoCal at least one more time this year and I hope that we all can get together for something. Remember we saw each other late Sat night as I was heading up to my room? From that I was pretty confident you wouldn't be up at the crack of dawn to chauffer me to John Wayne. No big deal at all, the shuttle was real easy. I have not heard from Bette recently either.
All my best to all my classmates.

I must have been sleeping at the wheel recently as I just noticed all the pictures from the reunion now up on the web site. Man, there are a ton of pictures! I now find out there were a few people that I didn't know attended that I would have loved to have seen again. Oh well, there is always the 40th. Once again the Reunion Committee has outdone itself. You guys made this a very special weekend for me.
All my best

Happy Thanksgiving to the Class of '74. We had a great Thanksgiving as my oldest and middle sons were able to fly in and join us for the holiday. We also had my sister (Class of '72) and her youngest daughter too. Great weekend, though now a little sad after dropping them all off at the airport. Our youngest is a senior in high school so we will be empty nesters starting next fall.
All my best to Madonna, Teddy, Kim, Bette, John and Brett/Cathy. Hope you all had a great holiday.
