So, what have you got to say for yourself? Post your comments, reminisces, or just say “hi” to someone you used to know!

Please enjoy the Bulletin Board -- have fun, take that walk down memory lane, get reacquainted and don't say anything about anybody you wouldn't want said about yourself (in public, anyway). Before you send anything, please review it to see whether it is respectful and responsible. The views on the Bulletin Board are those of the person who posted it and not the alumni of Edison or Edison High School as a whole, so we do not allow anonymous postings.

And remember, please, keep it clean!

5/16/2004 Julie (Hinkle) Bodmer Hugs to Debi (Fenell) Gariepy for challenging all of us former shy students who spent their school years in small social circles! Looking back I remember many names and faces…though I imagine few will remember me…But we all share memories of HB in the 60's and 70's… what a great time and place and to be a kid!… Surf Flicks at the Surf Theater… the Golden Bear where all the real hippies hung out… Iron Horses along PCH… coming home from the beach and scraping tar off my feet… the "Ketchup like" salsa at Dwight's snack stand… laying out in the sun covered in coco butter… the cement bleachers north side of the pier and how sad to watch when they built the white condos on the beach… and Junior High… Begging to wear nylons and then hating them… learning to walk in high heals and falling (almost weekly) on those unforgiving cement stairs at Dwyer… school dances on the basketball courts… the school bus ride to Dwyer, west down Brookhurst and north up coast highway… you could see actually Catalina…. walking through tomato fields on the way to Geisler… And Yes Tammy those warm chocolate chip cookies.. yum… and the pre-made burgers.. yuck… Grad Day at Disneyland… and then Edison… hip hugger pants and macramé belts…. Auto shop for girls… still in my top 5 of the most useful classes I took in high school… dissecting a cows eye in science class… a lesson I've never needed in adult life…. Mr. (excuse me) Sir Oliver Smiths interpretation of the Beatles "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"… Co-ed P.E. playing Flag Football, but the guys always tackled us girls to catch a feel… passing notes in class or slipping them in lockers, everything was so high drama at that age… weekend parties… Boones Farm Strawberry Wine… special Brownies (not the kind we made in Home Ec)… the student parking lot full of Ford Mustangs, VW Bugs, and Chevy Novas and Joe the campus cop patrolling the lot… working as student aid in the attendance office, also in my top 5 of the most useful classes I took in high school… when I replaced my parents signature card with my own… the candy counter at T.G.&Y next to Alpha Beta…. Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor… the bluffs off Victoria and Hamilton and that old Buck Rodgers Plane… the small town feel of the HB 4th of July Parade… Ahhh…. Growing up in HB.. priceless!

We could do what other sites do and make this as long and painful to read as possible, get a bunch of lawyers involved and find the most obscure English words possible, but why?

It all comes down to: the only ones who see all of your info are the committee members. And we’re only trying to get you to come party with us. We promise not to sell your home address, your email address, your name or likeness to ANYONE.

Now renting you out for nefarious purposes…. Well, we haven’t gotten any offers yet, but we’ll hold our options open for now. Check back later.
