So, what have you got to say for yourself? Post your comments, reminisces, or just say “hi” to someone you used to know!

Please enjoy the Bulletin Board -- have fun, take that walk down memory lane, get reacquainted and don't say anything about anybody you wouldn't want said about yourself (in public, anyway). Before you send anything, please review it to see whether it is respectful and responsible. The views on the Bulletin Board are those of the person who posted it and not the alumni of Edison or Edison High School as a whole, so we do not allow anonymous postings.

And remember, please, keep it clean!

Per Untiedt A Big Howdy to all my old classmates!

Sorry i missed the 30th reunion! That dim bulb in the back of my head started lighting up only months after the reunion (I forgot)! Will save up & get a "day planner" before the 40th reunion!

Thank You for setting up this website! It provided a pleasant stroll down memory lane!

I noticed comments on us all sharing a common experience at that place in time. Skimming thru your stories brought back memories of people, places, pastimes & pursuits. The following is meant to be a time capsule for those friends, acquaintances & other classmates who may be interested (not a "Per's Dorky Resume").

From a couple years at Peterson Elementary...

Being thrown in with the wild bunch in Mr Glasser's class (most of that same lot was in our Boy Scout Troop).

He'd tell us to "go take a hike" (which seemed more like a reward than punishment)... resulting in numerous paper airplanes being mfd & flung about in the bathroom.

Swimmin & Tennis lessons + Ping Pong Tournaments @ Pacific Sands Cabana Club (run by Ruby).

...to Dwyer with its cast concrete edifice & prison like architecture.

The introduction of the cliques: Surfers, Low Riders, Jocks, Soaches, Ra-Ras, Stoners & Nerds.

Knew kids from all those groups...but have to admit was kind of a nerdy wallflower back then (& think may be regressing back to that state).

My aeronautic prowess advanced to making paper helicopters...which would spiral down into those chain link enmeshed staircases behind Dwyer slowly filling the abandoned void.

Most of my friends at the time were in Mrs Bournes' algebra class a "nerd Mecca" of Serphyrochamps (not that that's a bad thing/ no offense intended).

Mrs Flaws was a dinosaur! Stern & unforgettable! Think most of the learning happened on the 2 nights before that "US Govt" Test.

Mr Case the science teacher with 2 different colored eyes & some good "gee whiz" science experiments to stimulate the imagination.

Am pretty sure that i never met that big ole paddle with the big aerodynamic holes in it but it was there 2 see in that basement dungeon of a boy's locker room!

...thru those years we shared at Edison...what must have been the largest High School on the Planet? 4,000 + souls (not including the teachers) experiencing our wonder years all together.

Best Teacher Award to "Herr Kuno" who taught us more than Deutsch! Think my sis said she saw him umping a baseball game a decade or 2 ago & he may have moved north (WA or OR ?)

That redhead english teacher Mrs Roth gets good marks for hipness + in class TM sessions & leading 3 week tour of Germany, Switzerland & Osterreich

Hung out/took refuge in the EHS band where I would wear a funny hat & toot a horn @ football games & parades.

Started NAUI Scuba diving class in the pool + Scotchman's Cove & ended up @ Catalina for final dive.

Cruisin' on 10-speed up Santa Ana River trail to Irvine Park or down the coast to tidepools @ Laguna. (Nowadays you have to watch out for car doors thrown open).

Was a bit naive... didnt figure out the social benefits of "ditchin" till Junior Year: smoker's field & do it yourself field trips. Look out here comes Joe!!!

Hikin' along the ditch behind Vons to the beach... then along the beach to the HB Pier... sometimes would get lucky & meet some nice girls (usually tourists).

Layin' out on the beach, soakin' some rays, swimmin', frisbee, volleyball.

Layin' on the grass out in corner of Peterson school listening to Bill White's Band Jam in his back yard.

Those Gruesome "Drivers Ed Snuff Flix" & gettin' a license.

Most people in mom's Chevy: 17 goin ice skatin' @ Costa Mesa. (2 to 3 deep & 3 in trunk).

Goin' to concerts @ Long Beach, L.A. , Cal Jam 2 +++

That Pink Floyd Concert @ Anaheim Stadium ...how the audience applauded when a (real) rainbow occurred.

Helped (as a laborer) set up "Fest Awe Fair" a one time carnival that featured the Ramones.

Cruisin' the streets of HB & Nwpt Bch on Friday & Sat nights with a carload of friends lookin' for the parties... & findin' a lot of good times!

...gave up the party crashin' a long time ago... nowadays my ears'd be burning to "who's the narc" or "looks like somebody's dad's here"!

Those weekend camping trips to "the River", that beach south of San Onofre & up in the Mtns.

Cruisin' to the top of Saddleback Mtn & out to Deep Creek Hot Spgs.

Years later: attended Colorado School of Mines (CSM) where i wore a hard hat, tooted on a horn in CSM Orediggers marching band & launched paper airplanes... & rubberband powered aircraft towards the football field.

Now: Bounce around the country & soar like an eagle when i get a chance (Paragliding esp @ Santa Barbara)

We could do what other sites do and make this as long and painful to read as possible, get a bunch of lawyers involved and find the most obscure English words possible, but why?

It all comes down to: the only ones who see all of your info are the committee members. And we’re only trying to get you to come party with us. We promise not to sell your home address, your email address, your name or likeness to ANYONE.

Now renting you out for nefarious purposes…. Well, we haven’t gotten any offers yet, but we’ll hold our options open for now. Check back later.
