8/5/2014 I met Lex in the 8th grade in 1969. He was am eclectic individual whose life and mine crossed paths up into the early 1980's. We kinda ran in different crowds through our 4 years at Edison but saw each other almost every day on the dreaded bus to and from school. We gratefully could drive ourselves as seniors. He and I worked at Hoag Hospital in the Physical Therapy department as orderlies. I remember that he became a pretty good artist, painting murals in the hospital in between transporting patients to and from the PT department, cleaning whirlpools and flirting with the female employees ;) I recall that he and Byron Menndenhall (another alum from EHS) hung out a lot and I lost touch with both of them about 1981. Lex was a fun loving, gregarious guy. I was hoping to bump into him again ... So sad for his family and friends. Terry Richardson

8/5/2014 I remember Darrell as a kinda soft spoken guy with a good heart. We were on the football team together, he practiced hard and got in a lot more games than I did! I'm not sure when he passed, I'm thinking it was quite a while ago. Still shocking saddening and sobering. I hope his family has coped with his loss, he is not forgotten.

6/16/2015 I lived a few houses away from Darrell from 7th grade through high school. We went to Wardlow Elementary School together before moving on to Edison HS. I remember the day (not the date) I heard that he died. I was alone, driving from Redding, CA to Eureka on business. The song "Meet me in Montana" was playing on the radio, when my mom called to let me know. It was the first time I cried in years. He was in a motorcycle accident, killed by a drunk driver. That was back around 1983 or 1984. It's hard to hear that song now, and not think of Darrell. He was nice to me in school. Sadly, after high school, I kept in touch with very few people, so I wasn't there for him or his family when he left us. It woke me up, though. Slowly, I've begun to make contact with my HS friends since then. Thanks for being my friend, Darrell!

3/5/2014 What a great person Chris was and so fun to be around. I have very fond memories of our high school days. I was so happy when he married my good friend Barbar.

3/8/2014 Chris was the love of my life. We were married for 25 wonderful years before he passed. I will never forget you my love, thank you for enriching my life and for our three wonderful boys.

6/16/2015 Chris was a very big part of my life, starting in 7th grade at Wardlow elementary school. He often did sound for the bands I played in. He had a knack for being helpful in any circumstance, and always brought some fun to everything he did. I will always miss Chris, and wish I had been there for Barbara and the whole family when he passed. Losing Chris was a serious hit in my life (and I'm sure in the lives of all those who knew him). What an all-round great man.

8/5/2014 What a shocker. Cole was such a stud! He was a starter at tackle, I really admired his talent, strength and toughness. He and I were not close as friends but I remember saying hey to him at the 30th reunion. Funny how time brings us all closer ... So sad life is so short. My feelings go out to his family.
